The motoscope classic speedo from motogadget is an analogue speedo with many digital additional functions in a classic round housing. A white dial and a red hand, which is moved by a precision stepper motor, represent the analogue speedometer. An LC display and four control LEDs indicate the further functions accurately and reliably. This compact instrument offers new possibilities for designing the vehicle. The design fits stylistically into every conversion and every original vehicle, no matter whether it is a real classic, youngtimer, custom bike or sports car. The motoscope classic is also ideally suited for sports cars, kitcars etc.High quality materials, final assembly by hand and intensive quality control guarantee the highest optical and functional quality.
The housing
The high-quality aluminiumo.housing is turned and milled from the solid on CNC machines. The surface is brushed and black or anodized aluminum nature. The housing is completely waterproof. The window of the instrument is made of a scratch-resistant special plastic. Due to the widespread installation dimension of 80 mm, original instruments can often be replaced very easily.
The analog display with pointer and the LC-Display
The speed is optimally readable by the red pointer on a white dial. The innovative, full-surface backlighting makes maximum use of the area available for the dial.
The LC display is very easy to read and illuminate, even in direct sunlight.
Four ultra-bright control LEDs complete the instrument. The red LED functions as a warning light when the entered limit values for speed, temperature (min./max.), pressure measurement (min./max.), on-board voltage as well as for the oil pressure switch or similar sensors are reached. Different warning functions can be distinguished by different flashing or continuous light.
Operation
With a menu button or e.g. the headlight flasher button on the handlebar, you can switch between the LCD displays. If required, all measured values can be retrieved by pressing a key on the display. Settings or stored values are, of course, retained and stored even without power supply.
Construction
The standard installation diameter makes the instrument easy to install on many vehicles. We also offer various optional mounting options. See Mounting.
Sensors and Connections
The connection cable has a length of approx. 55 cm and the connectors are already installed on the instrument side. For the vehicle side, the corresponding counterparts are supplied.
The input for the speed measurement is simply connected to the ignition coil or ignition box.
The included speed sensor made of stainless steel is small (M5/22 mm) and can be easily attached to the front or rear wheel with the 1.5 m long connection cable.
Appropriate sensors for the optional measurement of air, oil or water temperature and oil pressure are offered by us as accessories (see Accessories).
Versions
The technically identical instrument is also available with a black dial (see Chronoclassic) or as an analog tachometer (see Analog-DZM Series CLASSIC).
